We are currently recruiting the following positions:

Kahui Pakeke Kaumatua Day Programme Coordinator (Taupo)

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of pakeke? Do you have experience in program coordination and a deep respect for cultural values? Join our team as the Kahui Pakeke Kaumatua Day Programme Coordinator based in Taupo and help create enriching, supportive, and engaging experiences for kaumatua in our community. You will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of programmes tailored to our pakeke. Your role will involve working closely with the pakeke community, staff, and local organisations to ensure the programmes are culturally appropriate, accessible, and meet the specific needs of participants.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement engaging day programmes for pakeke, ensuring they are inclusive and culturally sensitive.
  • Coordinate logistics and resources with internal and external services needed to support a smooth programme delivery.
  • Foster a welcoming and supportive environment for participants.
  • Monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness and make improvements based on feedback.
  • Ensure all health, safety, and regulatory requirements are met.
Skills & Experience:
  • Excellent communicator with well-developed communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Maori models of health, for example Whare Tapa Wha.
  • Strong self-management skills.
  • Customer service orientated, and with the ability to engage client and whanau groups.
  • Knowledge of existing community networks and service agencies, particularly for pakeke.
Qualifications:
  • The New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Social and Community Services) (Level 4) or equivalent, or a willingness to complete this.

Financial Controller

As the Financial Controller you will play a pivotal role overseeing the organisation’s financial operation, including systems and procedures to ensure “best practice” financial management principles are engaged. (24-32 hours per week)

 

IT Support Analyst (Junior)

We are seeking a motivated and tech-savvy Junior IT Support Analyst to provide first-level technical support to end-users, assist with system administration tasks, and contribute to the success of IT projects. As a Junior IT Support Analyst, you will play a key role in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing user access, ensuring security policies are maintained, and supporting the smooth running of our IT systems and networks.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Help manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring proper access control across all systems and platforms.
  • Collaborate with other team members to improve IT processes and enhance overall system efficiency.
Skills & Experience:
  • A strong interest in IT support, with a desire to learn and grow in the field.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Intune, and Azure AD administration.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to assist users with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Qualifications:
  • A tertiary qualification, at degree or diploma level, in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent (preferred).
  • 1-2 years of experience in an IT support or helpdesk role (preferred but not required).

Homebased Support Worker

Tuwharetoa Health is a kaupapa Maori health services provider that delivers whanau centred services in the Turangi, Taupo and Mangakino communities. Our vision is to improve the health of all who reside in the rohe of Ngati Tuwharetoa and we are guided by the values of Whanaungatanga, Manaakitanga and Huhuatanga.

As part of a wider team, in this role, you will assist whanau to live as independently as possible, within their homes and community. You will help whanau to achieve their goals and reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support. (Fulltime and part time opportunities available)

The role may include:

  • Providing support with personal care and household tasks
  • Emotional support
  • Medication supervision
  • Meal preparation

You will have:

  • A passion to help people
  • Patience and kindness
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work alternate weekends
  • A reliable car, mobile phone, and access to email.

A certificate in Health and Wellbeing at level 2 is desirable but not essential as Tuwharetoa Health do support staff to achieve Health and Wellbeing qualifications at level 2 and beyond while employed.

Tuwharetoa Health pays in line with the Care and Support Workers (Pay Equity) Settlement (2017), including travel.
