What do you do in your role?
I am a Family Start kaimahi. In my role I support whanau with a strength based parenting programme. This identifies needs and puts goals in place for the whanau to turn those needs into strengths. I find it such an honour being able to walk alongside whanau in our community and help support them in their parenting journey.
What do you like about your role?
Being in a position that enables me to come along side and awhi whanau to learn and grow.
How long have you been with Tuwharetoa Health?
I started at Tuwharetoa Health in the Community Connector role, I have now transitioned into the Family start in the beginning of August 2023.
What made you choose to work in hauora?
The values of manaakitanga and whanaungatanga. These highlight the importance of what Hauora is, especially in the Tuwharetoa rohe.
