What do you do in your role?
In my role I provide support to the different teams in our organisation. This has included administration for the COVID Vaccination Hubs, organising and setting up of various internal hui, and general project assistance for external initiatives like hapu mama wananga and community guest speakers.
There are also times that I relieve for the Awhi House Coordinator and support the functions of that facility.
I am also involved in the administration of our Human Resources activities and play a role in uploading files to the portal (Enable HR).
What do you like about your role?
I really like working alongside the staff here at Tuwharetoa Health. They are a good bunch of people, and I feel the whakawhanaungatanga and manaakitanga.
I also love the learning opportunities that come with my role.

What made you choose to work in hauora?
I have had a long standing passion for working with rangatahi and would like to be a mentor and advocate for their health and wellbeing.
Working in hauora provides opportunities and exposure for me to pursue that as a career.
