What do you do in your role?
I deliver the Tamariki Ora service in Taupo. This involves assessing and supporting the growth and development of babies from 4 weeks old until 2 to 3 years as well as supporting whanau. I usually undertake home visits, but whanau also have the option to visit our clinic at the health centre. I provide referrals to other services, where necessary for tamariki and their whanau.
What do you like about your role?
I enjoy getting to know the Tamariki and Whanau in my area. I enjoy visiting babies in their homes and providing additional support, advise and encouragement to the tamariki and their whanau.
