What do you do in your role?

As the Turangi Hub Coordinator, I am the first point of contact for our whanau. I answer phone calls, emails and help to navigate whanau toward the services that are suitable to their needs. I also process our client referrals and enrolments.

Another part of my role is to support our kaimahi, ensuring they have the resources that will help them to deliver their services successfully and efficiently. I also take care of making sure our community workers are safe and monitoring their whereabouts.

What do you like about your role?

I love to learn, and I learn something new every day. The people in our team are amazing to work with. They are all encouraging, supportive, and all bring such a positive energy to mahi. The working environment and the people who help create that working environment is something I have come to really appreciate and be grateful for.

I enjoy the opportunity of being able to help people. Seeing people progress in life brings me joy, so to be a small part of that journey for our whanau is humbling and fulfilling. Those are some things that I find I like the most about my role. I’m sure through time I will come to realise even more things I enjoy about my role as Hub Coordinator.

How long have you been with Tuwharetoa Health?

I have been with Tuwharetoa Health for nearly 4 weeks.

What made you choose to work in hauora?

I chose to work in Hauora because of my passion for helping people. If I can help to make a difference in a positive way for someone, I’m happy and content.
